Chelsea Johanes

Chelsea Johannes is a dedicated youth advocate and administrative professional based in Kisumu, Kenya, currently serving as the Executive Secretary at Youth and Urbanism Organization, where she supports youth-led initiatives focused on sustainable urban development, climate action, and community empowerment for children and young people. As a Youth Ambassador for Tuelimishe Vijana, she has transitioned from learning to leading in youth and education co-creation, participating in impactful programs like the Green Youth Ambassadors cohort and tree-planting activities on International Forest Day to promote environmental sustainability. Additionally, Johannes hosts engaging discussions on climate policy implementation and youth-driven change, collaborating with experts to foster connections and ideas for a sustainable future, while also contributing to Mwangaza Art School and broader advocacy efforts in urbanism and climate justice.
