June Alfreds is a dynamic journalist, writer, and advocate based in Kenya, serving as the Head of Programs and Media (COO) at Youth and Urbanism Organization, a youth-centered initiative dedicated to fostering sustainable and inclusive urban development for children and young people. With a strong focus on climate justice and girls' advocacy through her role as a Climate Justice Girls Advocate with VCA, she also acts as the Assistant Programs Person and Communication lead, driving impactful projects that empower youth to shape urban communities.
As Chairperson of Generation Shapers, Alfreds hosts engaging platforms like #The_Urban_Online Show, where she discusses urban challenges, debunks myths about young people, and promotes actionable solutions for social and environmental issues, making her a key voice in advancing youth leadership and equitable city planning.
